Prinergy Connect is a PDF-based prepress workflow and content management tool that organizes prepress and plate production.
Prinergy Connect is a complete workflow management solution for commercial and publication printers. Tasks such as file optimization, trapping, proofing, imposition, archiving, job tracking, and film-making and platemaking are automated and managed by the system for increased process control and productivity.
Prinergy Connect provides an environment in which prepress operators can work individually or as a team to process incoming data for output as a digital image. It increases operator efficiency by providing a context for each job, tools to automate repetitive tasks, and status information to help tune the production process.

Hardware Requirement
- Primary and Secondary Server: 4 GB RAM mandatory
- Renderstations: 2 GB mandatory, 4 GB isrecommended for improved performance for 8Up/VLF size devices
- 73 GB system drive or larger. All qualified servers came with minimal these system drives. Systems with larger databases will require more space.
- Performance servers PE800, PE830, PE840 and later. Premium servers PE2800, PE2850, PE2900 (Gen II and Gen III), PE2950 (Gen II and Gen III), and later.
- Older servers are NOT supported!
- Tape archiving technologies LT03 - 400 GB; AIT2 - 35 GB; AIT3 - 100 GB; AIT5 - 400 GB
Software Requirements
- For upgrade to 5.1 minimum Prinergy 4.0.2.0 or the latest released update for 4.0 or 4.1. You can not upgrade directly from Prinergy 3.x or lower;
- Adobe Acrobat 7.0, 8.0 or 9.0 are supported;
- Insite Prepress Portal and Pressproof: minimum version 5.5.2.5090;
- Business Link or Production Reporting: minimum version 3.0;
- Preps: 4.2, 5.0, 5.1, 5.2 (plus or pro) for generating imposition plans that are imported manually. Preps 5.3.3 is integrated with Prinergy 5.1 Workshop;
- Pandora: minimum version 2.9;
- For workshop the following operating systems are allowed: Mac OSX 10.4 or later; Windows 2000, 2003, XP and Vista.
